My husband took these pictures on Saturday, while we were visiting at my parents' home. He said he didn't find much that he thought was worth taking a picture of, but I thought he got some good ones. I know this first one isn't a 'bloom' but I have never seen so many apples on this tree before! They are crab apples, but very sweet.
I like this one of the bumble bee on the Joe Pieweed too.Joe Pieweed is one of my mom's favorites.
The hostas are still beautiful too.
And here is the reason Brian was taking the pictures and not me. He saw four or five garter snakes while he was out there. Please don't tell me they are harmless....people die from heart attacks.
For more lovely garden pictures visit Jean at Bloomin' Tuesday.
Thanks for stopping by! ~~~Deb
That apple tree is really loaded. I love the Joe Pyeweed too, beautiful rosy pink flowers. Looks like it a favorite with the bees too. :) That snake would of given me heart failure too.
ReplyDeleteThe apple tree is really nice - so much better than ours this year. I love each flower but my favorite shot was the snake - great picture!

I've never tasted a crab apple! I don't blame you for not wanting to chance running into a snake. I can't stand them regardless of their harmlessness.
ReplyDeleteHappy Bloomin' Tuesday!

Hi Deb, I have never had or heard of a crab apple! But the tree looks full and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAnd the snake, oh my, my husband tries the "it won't hurt you" routine, a snake is a snake and all snakes should either be out of my yard or they die....
Love, Ann
Wow -- that crab apple tree is loaded . What a beautiful color of fruit! The other photos were wonderful too -- except the last one that is. (My feet are still tucked up underneath me.)
ReplyDeleteDeb, You are right - some people die of heart attacks. After I saw the word snake I scrolled real fast. The pictures were still beautiful! I have had a hard time getting back to you for some reason. This is the 1st day that I got this far. It was only on your blog and it would lock up. But- I'm glad I am now able to read your post. You are such an inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThat apple tree is amazing! I like the Joe pie weed, too. Love your background music. Every time I think I have a new bird in the yard! Happy Bloomin' Tuesday! Jean
ReplyDeleteEverything is wonderful-except maybe the snakes-they give me such a start!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who dislikes snakes!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to believe we grew up on the farm eh? I'm such a city girl now and I sure don't miss those snakes!! That's the only thing I don't like about Mom and Dad's garden.
