Our neighbour called today and said they have more apples than they can possibly use, and we were welcome to come over and pick as many as we wanted. So, Danica and I headed over there with a few plastic bags.
|
The trees were just loaded! |
|
And no, I didn't make Danica do all the picking! |
|
Doesn't this just make you want to climb up and sit there among those gorgeous apples!? |
|
It didn't take long to fill our bags. |
|
Good thing it wasn't a long walk home. I usually get to see this pasture from the opposite direction! |
I love looking across the road at my favorite yard.

Thank you Cameron and Diana! |

Gosh, those are beautiful apples! Are they grown organically? How wonderful! So now what will you do with all of them?
ReplyDeleteThey are so good! One tree is sweet crab apples, and the other is baking apples...both are delicious! I'm pretty sure they are grown organically. So far we've done some juicing with them...and eaten lots! lol
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sight that apple tree is, so loaded with fruit. It's a reminder of how abundant our lives are. So glad you have generous neighbors!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your outdoor post on this week's Maple Hill Hop!
Thanks for stopping by! I'm thankful for such generous neighbours, and yes, a good reminder of the abundance we have!
ReplyDeleteWhat a blast from the past for me! As a kid we would go pick apples and then can them. It was a long, long day but worth it.
ReplyDeleteWe haven't done any canning, but we've enjoyed eating them, and making fresh juice!
