All sunsets this week!

Manitoba Sky Monday November 21/16
Not much sky watching this week, but I did try to get another picture of the super moon Monday morning.
I like this picture because the clouds are so low it looks like we have hills to the north. |
More cloud 'hills' |
And a sunset of course! |

Manitoba Sky Monday, November 14/17
Whether sunrise, sunset, or super moon.... We have a beautiful Manitoba sky! |

Sunday night, the moon shining through the clouds. |
The super moon on Sunday night, Nov. 13th I wish we could have gotten a better picture of the moon. We need to take a photography course and learn how to properly photograph the night sky! You can see some beautiful sky pictures from around the world, by visiting Skywatch. |
November In the Garden
On a frosty November morning, we still have some flowers blooming!
Cranesbill has some nice fall colour |
Yarrow just keeps on going |
Veronica decided to bloom again! |
I thought this delphinnium was finished in September, but it's still hanging on! |
Another pretty yarrow |
And this yarrow, I left to grow in the middle of the lawn! |
Virginia creeper has lost all of it's leaves, but I'm sure it will be pretty when we get a hoar frost. |
These annuals haven't noticed it's November! |
And the petunias are finally done. I'm sure my next garden photos will have a lot more white in them! |
"Life Is Better On the Deck"
Normally, at this time of year, I wouldn't be saying,
"Life is Better on the Deck"!
But we had one of the nicest November weekends that I can remember.
Several months ago, Danny decided to try making signs out of pallet wood....that was until he discovered how difficult pallets are to take apart. You can read about that here- Pallet Walkway Cheat. He did, however, manage to get a few boards put together...all that was left to do was add words. I decided to give it it try myself...after all, how hard could it be to write some words on a board? Turns out...pretty hard, when you don't have stencils.
I didn't let that stop me. I wrote out the words in bubble letters on paper, cut them out, then traced around them...sort of. Have you ever written on rough wood with a pencil? I think I know why Danny gave up on this project.
I'm not sure you can see it, but there ARE words printed on there...
Here's a close up...
funny, I never noticed until AFTER I painted the words
funny, I never noticed until AFTER I painted the words
that there's no space between the 'e' and the 'i'...
Guess I should have checked the photo first.
That would have saved me a lot of work.
However, it did make me appreciate latex paint!
Still not great...maybe I should have let Danny do it.
Oh well...the quality of the sign isn't the best, but the quality of our life is....
especially when we can sit on our deck in November,
and watch our evening visitors.
