As I contemplated a theme for this month, love seemed to be the obvious topic, given Valentine's Day is coming up. Why not? Who doesn't like a good love story? And I just happen to have one to tell...mine and my husband's.
I'm also sharing a post about my parents. They enjoyed a 61 year love story and created a beautiful home together before Dad went to be with the Lord. The home and gardens they created together are long gone and I felt it was something I needed to write about.
But along with love also comes loss.
It turns out my first miscarriage happened on February 15th. I've never written about our pregnancy losses, but as I've read of the losses of so many others, I thought sharing our story might help someone else.
And then there is an even greater loss, and that is the loss of a child who is still living.
But, as we read in Psalm 47:3 He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
And he cares...1 Peter 5:7 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
So much for February being all hearts and flowers! This month I'll be writing on a much more personal level than my typical posts. I hope you'll join me as I share 4 stories of love and loss.
Links will be added as these are posted:
1. A Life Well Lived; We're Just Passing Through
2. A Love Story; How True Love Has Carried Us Through the Years
3. 4 Names; Giving Meaning, Purpose and Honour
4. How Do I Cope With Having An Estranged Child?
