About thirteen years ago, I made a little book for Mom, called A Mother's Heart.
It was a gift for Mother's Day with a reading for each day of the month. That book came back to me when Mom moved to the care home and we were cleaning up her house. I recently came across it and decided to gift it again, this time to my youngest daughter, who was born around the time I wrote it.
This month I'm sharing a few of its pages, along with a post about my Mom.
The title for the book comes from a song I wrote by the same name.

A mother’s heart, faithful in prayer lifts her child to the Lord each day.
Knowing Jesus always hears gives a mother’s heart it’s strength.
Yes, she knows that Jesus hears.
When a mother’s heart believes God works miracles through prayer
She kneels before her Lord with every need and care;
Seeking her Father’s heart, trusting in her Father’s grace
to work a mighty miracle in the hearts she has embraced.
A mother’s heart, humbled in prayer intercedes for her child’s soul.
Knowing Jesus always cares fills a Mother’s heart with hope.
Yes, she knows that Jesus cares.
When a mother’s heart believes God works miracles through prayer
She kneels before her Lord with every need and care;
Seeking her Father’s heart, trusting in her Father’s grace
to work a mighty miracle in the hearts she has embraced.
A mother’s heart, surrendered in prayer, lays her child at the Saviour’s feet.
Finding Jesus’ mercy there floods a mother’s heart with peace.
Yes, she finds his mercy there.
When a mother’s heart believes God works miracles through prayer
She kneels before her Lord with every need and care;
Seeking her Father’s heart, trusting in her Father’s grace
to work a mighty miracle in the hearts she has embraced.
A mother's heart believes!
